Wednesday Sketch Challenge 296

Hi guys, here’s my entry for this week’s Wednesday Sketch Challenge 296.

I have to be honest, I did not like doing my card this week, not sure why. I did not like how it turned out either.

Instead of just putting it in the bin, I decided to show you it anyway. Reason being, we all have days when our mojo doesn’t seem to work so well, and this was one for me. So, if you have days like that, its okay all crafters experience it.

As you are aware, I use the challenge to make a Christmas card to start building my stash. Will this card make it into the stash box??

By for now, Cheryl 🙂

September’s Monthly Card Kit

Hi guys, here’s a look at the September’s Monthly Card Kit.

Monthly card kits by Simon Says Stamp can be very helpful, especially if you are not a very experienced crafter.  The kits are made up of coordinating paper, cardstock and embellishments. Each kit has a themed stamp set included.

I signed up for the monthly subscription  to save $5.00 per month. This works out to a saving of $60 over a year.  The subscriptions feels like I will receive two free kits per year! It's A...SSS SCK

As an FYI….a very cool part of this month’s kit is the scratch off stickers by Inky Antics. What a great interactive element for cards!

Have a great rest of week.

Regards, Cheryl 🙂

Color Throwdown Challenge 408

Hi Guys, It’s the Color Throwdown Challenge 408.

The colors are primary blue, yellow, green and red. They are really colourful!! As each color was so bold I thought I would keep the card simple and to the point. Blending and mixing may not have worked so well, so I opted for die cutting.

The dies used are the Stitched Scallop Die Edges by MFT Stamps and the sentiment is from the Rainbow Greetings stamp set, also by MFT.

The kiddies go back to school after their summer holidays and Calgary is showing signs of fall. Leaves are falling and the heating needs to be on now due to chilly mornings.

I hope you have a lovely week, see you next time!

Regards, Cheryl 🙂

Wednesday Sketch Challenge

Hi guys, so last week I did my first regular Wednesday Sketch Challenge. My Favorite Things run these changes every week and are a great inspiration.

I think I am a very savvy lady. I have decided to do these weekly sketch challenges to make a stash of Christmas cards!! How cool is that? If I stick with my plan, I could have quite a few all ready to go by the time the festive season arrives.

I live in Canada and some of my friends and family live in the UK That means I have to be organized to get all pressies and cards out in plenty of time. That means it’s never too early for me to start making Christmas cards!

For this week’s card I used the Merry Christmoose stamp set by My Favorite Things and you can also get the complimenting die set.SC294 MFT

Here’s my entry from last week, challenge #294. The stamp set is the fun Jingle All The Way by My Favorite Things. This set is humorous and would be great for male Christmas cards

I love Christmas and I really enjoy making Christmas cards. Halloween  is not a big holiday in our house as we have no children living at home or grandchildren nearby. When Autumn starts drawing near, I think of Christmas really.

I hope this inspires you to take a look at the challenge and see if its something you fancy doing, maybe using the same idea for Christmas. Go take a look at other people’s entries at MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge.

By for now, Cheryl 🙂
